Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is optional
Depending on car group rented, customer is liable for an amount ranging between EUR 13,000.00 and EUR 25,000.00 if Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is not taken.  Purchase of CDW reduces liability amount ranging between EUR 720.00 to EUR 1,200.00.

Theft Protection (TP) is optional
Depending on car group rented, customer is liable for an amount ranging between EUR 13,000.00 and EUR 25,000.00 if Theft Protection (TP) is not taken.  Purchase of TP reduces liability to an amount ranging between EUR 720.00 to EUR 1,200.00.

Note: If you require additional insurance coverage you may purchase locally to reduce/remove the insurance excess.  Just ask at the Avis rental desk when you collect your car.

Global insurance coverages are always subject to change. Please verify at time of rental.

At the time of the rental, for all groups except group O, the Renter must provide a valid credit or debit card only from the following card issuers: Visa, MasterCard and American Express. We do not accept Maestro Cards or any kind of prepaid cards. The card holder details must be the same as the Renter's details stated in the passport. For group O 2 credit cards are required provided by 2 different issuers.
An amount to cover the estimated price for the rental (including any optional services), the amount of excess in case of accident or theft and the equivalent of a tank of fuel must be available in the card account. At the time of pick up the vehicle we will block an amount on your card account, covering the above. The transaction will be concluded at the time of drop off, based on the authorisation code obtained at the time of pick up.
Cash Payments:
Cash payments are allowed at the end of the rental, only in MDL
A credit / debit card - Visa, MasterCard, American Express must be presented at the time of pick up in order to rent the vehicle. For group O 2 credit cards are required. Please see the card payment above.
Voucher payments:
Valid full / limited value and charge cards issued by Avis are accepted if stated at the time of reservation - verification is required prior to the rental.
In case of a limited value (prepaid) voucher a credit or debit card is required at the time of the rental. For group O 2 credit cards are required. Please see the card payment above.

Debit cards are not accepted.

Driving licence: The Renter and the additional driver must hold a valid national driving license with minimum driving experience of 1 year for groups B and C, 3 years of experience for groups D,E,F,G,H,I,J,K,L and 6 years of experience for groups M,N,O,P, with an expiry date greater than the estimate date of the rental end. Driving license must be in Roman alphabet, otherwise an International driving license (IDP) is required.
The details in the driving licence must be the same as the ones in the passport.
ID requirements: Passport is required for Renter and additional driver

Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country.  Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.

Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles.  The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental.  Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.

The Renter and any additional driver must comply with age requirements. Minimum age is 21 years for groups B,C, 23 years for groups D,E,F,G,H,I,J,K,L and 30 years for groups M,N,O,P.
Drivers with age in between 21 and 23 years may be accepted - subject of approval at the rental desk for D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L.
A Young Driver Fee will apply in this case - EUR 6.00 per day
In case of groups M, N, O, P minimum age required is 30 for Renter and additional drivers.

You are required to pay any fines that you receive during the rental prior to vehicle return. In case Avis receives any fines for the respective period of your rental, you will have to pay the value of the fine and an administration fee of 30.00 euro.
