Optional Coverages
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW): CDW reduces liability to an amount between 103 000 CFP and 293 000 CFP depending on car group rented in the event of an accident or theft of the Avis vehicle.
Theft Protection (TP) with excess is included.
Important: In the case of any damages (including when optional coverages are purchased) a non-refundable admin fee of 3000 CPF will be charged. In case of an accident, the driver must complete an accident report and present at the nearest Avis office.
Credit Card Policies
Avis French Polynesia (Tahiti) accepts Avis Charge Cards, American Express, Diners Club, MasterCard, Visa. At time of rental we will request an authorization on your credit card for the estimated rental charged, minimum 200,000 CFP.
Cash, Debit Cards and Prepaid cards not accepted.

Public Liability and Property Damage
Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country. Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.
Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles. The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental. Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.

5.5% Airport Fee will apply to all rentals.
Age Requirements
The minimum age to rent is 21 years. Young drivers may rent groups B & C only.
Fee: A young driver surcharge applies of 1700 CFP + tax for all drivers between the ages of 21 and 24. In addition young drivers are subject to a pre-authorisation (bond) of 550 000 CFP.
Drivers aged 70 and above must provide their itinerary as proof they are only visiting and not residing in French Polynesia.
