Credit Card Policies
Avis Turkey accepts all major credit cards. Debit cards and GEB Billing Credit Cards are not accepted.
Security Deposit (Compulsory) A security deposit is required at the start of a rental of 3000.00 TUL for A,B, N, F car groups, 3500.00 TUL for O, P car groups, 4000.00 TUL for H, D, J car groups, 5500 TUL for G,C,E,M,L car groups, 6000 TUL for I car group, 10000 TUL for K car group in credit cards.
The security deposit will be refunded to the renter following the end of the rental and safe return of the vehicle, confirmation that no traffic contraventions have been applied during the rental.
Security deposit may take up to 15 days to be refunded.
Debit Card Policies
Debit cards are not accepted.
Drivers License
Renters and additional drivers must have held a full driving license for:
- A minimum of one year for A, B, N, F car groups,
- A minimum of two years for D, H, O, J, P, I car groups,
- A minimum of three years for G, C, E, K, L, M car groups.
Each driver must show photographic proof of identity or their passport at the start of the rental. All drivers must present a full and valid driving licence which has been held for at least 1 year. The licence must be valid for use in the renting country.
International customers must show their passport at the begining of their rental. Otherwise due to Turkish regulation and police restrictions car wouldnt be provided. If your licence is in non-roman alphabet you must provide an International Driving Licence.
International driving licence is required for non-Roman alphabet licence holders.
Personal Accident Insurance
Public Liability and Property Damage
Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country. Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.
Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles. The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental. Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.
Age Requirements
The minimum age must be 19 for A, B, N, F car groups, and 23 for O, P car groups, and 25 for H, D, I, J, and 27 for G, L, K, E, C, M car groups.Any renter between 19 & 21 years old is subjected to young driver fee and can only rent A, B, N, F car groups. Any renter between 21 & 23 years old is subjected to young driver fee and can only rent O, P car groups. Any renter between 23 & 25 years old is subjected to young driver fee and can only rent H, D, J car groups. Any renter between 25 & 27 years old is subjected to young driver fee and can only rent G,C, E, M, L, K car groups.
Young driver fee is TUL 330.00 daily (prices excl. VAT).
